LADD Ri-Ettes vs SDDD Derby Dolls Championship Game
After losing to the LA Derby Dolls Ri-Ettes twice this year, the San Diego Derby Dolls Wildfires squared off against the Ri-Ettes for the Championship game of Battle on the Bank V. San Diego held on the BotB Championship trophy for two years, and the last time the Ri-Ettes won Battle on the Bank was it's maiden voyage in 2008.
San Diego and LA swapped leads for the first 5 jams, but when LA grabbed the lead back at 24-13 with an 11 point Power Jam from Cris Affliction, they just plowed ahead to finish off the first quarter with a 54 point lead at 78-24 LA.
SDDD didn't fare much better in the second quarter even as Kiki Diazz brought home 13 in an SD Power Jam, 79-43. LA continued to widen their lead to 109-54, and Cris Affliction took a big 15 point Power Jam to widen it further, 124-54 LA. But San Diego was able to hold them to 128 for the remainder of the half as Heidi Evidence and Kiki Diazz took SDDD up to 128-71 LA.
Gori Spelling took a hit and quit for 4 against Heidi Evidence to bring LA up to 132-71, where LA stayed while Heidi Evidence put up 10 in a Power Jam for SD. for SD, 132-83 LA. Heidi Evidence put 15 points up in a Power Jam against LA, getting SDDD the closest they get in the third quarter, 151-112 LA, a 39 point lead. The quarter ended with 166-122 LA, a 44 point lead for the Ri-Ettes.
Mourning Wood ran up another 9 for LADD against Kell'Em Al putting LA in the lead by 50 in the first jam of the fourth quarter, 175-125 LA. Then Raven Seaward had a 15 point Power Jam, expanding that lead to 65 points at 190-125 LADD.
San Diego had a big scoring run taking them up to 143 against LA's 196, but they just couldn't get the traction they needed to close the gap, as LA would match them with their own runs. With a Power Jam to close Battle on the Bank V, Cris Affliction took 5 for a 52 point win against San Diego, and also to take #1 in the fifth annual Battle on the Bank, 226-174.
AZDD Hot Shots vs. Team Legit for 3rd Place
In the game for 3rd Place in the final day of Battle on the Bank V, the Arizona Derby Dames (Banked Rank Div II #2) swapped leads with Team Legit 5 times but led the first half with 81-56 AZDD.
Team Legit took first blood in the second jam with a 5-0 lead from Legit's Carmen Getsome. But by the 5th jam, AZDD's Satan's Little Helper took 9 points in a power jam in a 4-2 Legit pack to take the lead, 13-5 AZDD. AZ got ahead by 17-8 before Carmen took 10-0 against SLH to put Team Legit in the lead 18-17. AZDD's Holly Hood took the lead back for the Hot Shots an 8 point jam against Legit's Sheneeta Stretcher, 25-18 AZDD.
Carmen Getsome reclaimed Legit's lead in a Power Jam in the following jam 28-25 Legit. But Deja Deja Vu had a 14 point Power Jam and put AZ back in the lead, 39-28 AZ. SLH extended AZ's lead to 42-36 to close the first quarter.
Three jams into the second quarter, Carmen Getsome snatched the lead away from AZ with a 2-0 jam for 44-42 Legit. But then Satan's Little Helper took advantage of a Power Jam opportunity to score 9 points against Legit, and put the Hot Shots back in the lead, 51-44 AZDD.
AZDD's Ellie Mayhem extended that lead with 9 point Power Jam to 62-49, and Deja chalked up another 8-0 against Sheneeta Stretcher for 70-49 AZDD. The Hot Shots finished the half up by 25 points, 81-56.
In the second half, Power Jams from Carmen Getsome and Lulu Lockjaw brought Team Legit to within a single point of AZDD, 93-92 AZ. But a 10 point Power Jam put AZ 11 points up with 103-92. Goody Goody Blooddrop put up another 4 for 107-92 AZDD. Legit closed in with 4 from Carmen and Sheneeta to close the third quarter 107-100.
Arizona extended their lead to 18 points by the 5th jam of the fourth quarter, 120-102, and Legit closed it to 10 points by the 6th. The spread was reduced down to 129-123 by the 13th jam, but penalties held Legit back, and a 10 point Power Jam from Canibelle Corpse put AZ ahead 139-123.
Sheneeta Stretcher put 4 on the board to bring Legit to within 13 points on the second to the last jam of the game, 139-127 AZ, but even with a 4-3 pack advantage, Legit couldn't get a lead for Sheneeta in the final jam, and Goody got out of the pack and milked the clock to let the game clock expire before calling off the jam for an AZ Derby Dames win against Legit, 139-127.

LADD Jr Ri-Ettes vs TTRB Peeps Junior Derby
The Tilted Thunder Rail Birds Peeps were largely able to keep up with the LA Derby Dolls Jr. Ri-Ettes through much of the first half in BotB V's first full length game of the event. While the Jr. Ri-Ettes took the lead from the first whistle with an 8-4 LA first jam, and extended their lead to 13 points, 27-11 LA by the 6th jam, the peeps closed in on them and tied up the score at 56 by the 18th jam in the first half.
With a 9 point Power Jam in the 20th jam, the Peeps took the lead for the first time in the game, 65-61 TTRB, but the Jr. Ri-Ettes answered with their own 15 point Power Jam and regained the lead 76-65 LA the very next jam. With an 15 point Power Jam of their own, the Peeps tied the score up again in the 24th jam, 80-80, but by the end of the first half the Jr. Ri-Ettes had established dominance on the track with a 23 point lead at 106-83 LA.
By the second jam of the second half, the Jr. Ri-Ettes started a run with 113-87 LA and extended their lead to 67 points at 172-105 LA by the 12th jam of the second half.
But the TTRB Peeps closed in to within 29 points by the 19th jam of the second half, 180-151 LA. Their 46-8 run stalled, but they managed to get as close as 24 points, 185-161 LA, by the 21st jam. The Jr. Ri-Ettes rallied and to re-establish their dominance, and in a 10 point last jam Power Jam, took the game home 200-171 LA Derby Dolls Jr. Ri-Ettes.
